The objective of the seminar is to help professionals of national fisheries administrations and institutions go through a comprehensive learning cycle, starting with the role of a fisheries statistical programme in a management plan, turning focus on data types and data collection methods and databases needed, and concluding with the impact of regularly operated fishery statistical programmes on the implementation of management plans.
