The 59th Pacific Fisheries Technologists (PFT) will meet February 3-6, 2008 in San Francisco, California at the Hotel Whitcomb.  The 2008 theme of this international meeting, “Sea to Plate by the City of the Golden Gate,” emphasizes bridging communication.

Annually, the PFT conference rotates among the Pacific Rim states and countries (including Canada and Mexico).  PFT supports the exchange of technical and scientific information among fisheries technologists, and those interested in fisheries technology. PFT offers a venue for presentations and discussions of technical scientific matters relating to the fisheries industries and to research institutes, universities, and governmental agencies engaged in fisheries work.
