SEATTLE (Market Watch).- HQ Sustainable Maritime Industries, Inc. a vertically integrated aquatic product producer, processor and distributor of toxin-free tilapia, and processor and distributor of marine-bio products with operations in the People's Republic of China, published its "TiLoveYa(R) Tilapia Bill of Rights."

This Bill of Rights establishes a set of standards that HQS has developed and implemented in order to address recent concerns about tilapia's effects on heart health as well as constructive attempts by leading retailers to raise product quality standards. These rights apply to the way that HQS raises and processes tilapia which it brands under the name "TiLoveYa"(R).
The Bill of Rights builds upon some of HQS' existing core operating principles:

- HQS' new feed mill will supplement feed given to tilapia with algae rich in omega 3 for optimum heart health
- HQS does not use fishmeal or fish oil in its feed
- HQS places other fish species into the tilapia ponds (polyculture) to help control pond algae environments naturally and eliminate the need to use antibiotics
- HQS does not use methyl testosterone in the sexing of fry (a common industry practice)

"TiLoveYa(R) Tilapia Bill of Rights"
These operating principals and the implementation of the "TiLoveYa(R) Tilapia Bill of Rights" have enabled HQS to become the respected leader in high-quality tilapia aquaculture. We believe the following Bill of Rights will be instrumental in solidifying TiLoveYa's position as the leading brand of high-quality, sustainable tilapia.

1. The right to grow free of cages
2. The right to clean, fresh water, free of toxins
3. The right to grow without hormones and unnecessary antibiotics
4. The right to grow in properly stocked ponds that that have adequate oxygen levels
5. The right to grow in a pond containing other fish species that naturally clean the pond's bottom and remove sick fish
6. The right to feed that is free of fish meal and fish oils, that helps preserve our oceans and avoids ocean pollutants
7. The right to all-vegetal healthy feed with vitamin E (from plants) and omega 3 (from algae) which support better health
8. The right to a life that does no harm to the environment
9. The right to humane safe treatment at harvest
10.The right to be "TiLoveYa"(R) branded tilapia

The "TiLoveYa(R) Tilapia Bill of Rights" is posted in the "About Us" section of HQS' website at www.hqfish.com. The "About Us" section also includes 100 tilapia recipes for people to explore and further enjoy "TiLoveYa"(R) products.
